Safeway Rider is a specialist in driving instructor training & offers training for part 1, 2, 3 and ADI remedial. Being an ORDIT registered driving school we provide excellent training to all prospective driving instructors nationwide.
Safeway Rider School of motoring will provide you with an insight of the standard Check and its benefits:
• Check how you observe of the pupils errors, and whether or not you correct them properly
• Your manner, patience, skill and ability to inspire confidence
• Help your clients to learn more easily and quickly
This is one of the services we can offer you at our training centres. With a dedicated team of trainers and expertise, we are always looking to expand our training services to local independent driving schools in the Yorkshire and Humberside area. Unlike other large driving schools, we have always strived to work with our fellow colleagues and you can be assured of a very warm welcome should you decide to attend any courses we offer.
We offer you our New Standards Check Workshop. This workshop also entitles you to attend other courses that we offer. (Some have an additional charge)
New Standards Check Workshop – This one-day workshop will be held on a series of dates at our training centres. The workshop is very interactive and provides an ideal forum in which to get a clear understanding of what to expect and how to go about developing the client centred techniques necessary to obtain a grade A. You will also be provided with a diary, training booklet and access to a dedicated team to help you develop the necessary practical skills after attending. Please do not leave it until your Standards Check is due before you start to implement a client centred approach; this should now be your normal method of instructing. Remember your trade could depend on this.
The DVSA want the examiner to assess whether your instruction helps a person to learn in the most effective way. The new Standards Check has changed so the examiner will observe, you giving a normal one hour lesson to a real pupil. Therefore you will no longer have the “role-play” option. You may use an current learner or a full licence holder, but you cannot use an ADI or someone who has passed Part 2 test of driving ability.
You will have to take at least one Standard Check during each 3-4 year period that you’re registered as an ADI. Please note if you fail the Standards Check, you will have only two attempts left. The Standards Check will last for about 1 hour. There’s a debrief at the end of the test when you get a grade of your performance.
Remember your trade could depend on this. So contact us now so we can help you achieve the highest mark possible.
