Driving Test

The driving test is straightforward. It is designed to assess whether you can demonstrate the following to the Examiner:

• Safe driving skills.

• Highway Code/Road knowledge.

Test Routes

Test routes are designed to:

• Be as uniform as possible.

• Include a range of typical road and traffic conditions.

Examiner

The Examiner will:

• Give directions in good time.

• Require to you to carry out a series of set exercises, i.e. emergency stop.

• The driving test lasts approximately 38-40 minutes (Extended tests will last about 90 minutes).
